01/08/2007 Problems for PCs running the latest versions of JRE
(Java Runtime Environment) :-.
If your PC has the latest version of Java installed on it, you
may find that you get a picture that does not change. This is
due to an incompatibility between your version of Java and the Webcam firmware.

This bug listed on the Sun Java website as a bug in JRE 1.6. The bug status is
Closed, Verified,
bug allegedly fixed in version 1.6.0_10 - click
here for details. However, having tried the recently
released version 1.6.0.11, the problem is not fixed (as you
can see from recent comments on the above link). Thank you
very much Sun Microsystems.
