01/08/2007 Problems for PCs running the latest versions of JRE
(Java Runtime Environment) :-.
If your PC has the latest version of Java installed on it, you
may find that you get a picture that does not change. This is
probably due to an incompatibility between your version of Java and the Webcam firmware.

This now seems to be listed on the Sun Java website as a bug in
JRE 1.6. The bug status is In progress,
